Vitamix – Healthy Weight Loss Smoothies

Your body is a temple and must be taken care of. Self love is all about catering to your own needs, and treating yourself every single day just because you deserve it. This can be misinterpreted to imply that you should eat junk food all day everyday when in fact it is the complete opposite!

You only get one body and you must take care of it. Self love is giving yourself the nutrients that your body needs.

A quick and effective way to do this is by drinking smoothies. I drink a smoothie for breakfast every single morning and I am going to share my favourite recipes with you today. It fills me up while allowing to drink my breakfast with is a proven method of weight loss.

My favorite blender to use is the Vitamix Quiet One Blender so that I can use it nice and early in the morning without waking anybody up, and I think we can all agree that the sound of a blender is the last thing you want to hear as soon as you wake up.

RECIPE 1 

This is my ultimate favorite and the one I drink most mornings! 

1 cup of Strawberries

1 cup of Spinach 

1/2 cup frozen Pineapple 

1/2 cup frozen Berries

1/4 of banana (you can slice and freeze the rest for tomorrow’s smoothie!)

1/2 cup of fresh orange juice/water

I know what you may be thinking, spinach – gross! But trust me, you really cannot taste it and yet it’s still working it’s magic! Pineapple is also a wonderful tool for digesting and will prevent bloating. 

RECIPE 2

I am a sucker for chia seeds! They have so many health benefits and this is a wonderful way to incorporate them into your diet.

2 cups of Mango Chunks

2 tbsp of Chia Seeds

1/4 banana 

1/2 cup of water 

The chia seeds are full of fiber and will keep you fuller throughout the day! They are a great alternative to adding oats to your smoothies if that is something you don’t enjoy. 

RECIPE 3

Matcha Green Tea is super popular at the moment so why not use it in a smoothie?

1 cup of mango 

1/2  banana

1 Cup of spinach 

2 tsp . matcha green tea powder 

1 cup skimmed milk/ your preferred alternative 

The green tea has so many health benefits! It can aid in weight loss, fat burn, digestion and fatigue!
